On October 7 members of the Club enjoyed a unique and delectable feast during a Tuesday Social Time at New City Cafe.

City Café is a program of the non-profit New City Neighbors whose mission is “empowering youth to reach their full potential.” Young people learn about customer service, kitchen management, and teamwork. Luke De Haan is the Café Coordinator who guides the young people in the preparation and serving of the farm-to-table food.

They have 3 locations where the food is grown, and they offer the purchase of shares for a weekly supply of vegetables from April to November.

New City Café is located at 1115 Leonard Street NE and is open on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 pm with a menu that changes weekly They offer catering and will open for private dinners when arranged in advance.
